BERKELEY, CALIFORNIA, USA  KMD provided bridging architecture services to develop drawings and performance specifications to establish a competitive lump sum bid for design/build. Services included site planning, building planning, and technical documentation. Planning services included meetings with the police and fire departments and coordinating reviews and approvals from the State Fire Marshal and Board of Corrections regarding holding facility design. The facility includes an 8,800 SF detention facility, fire department headquarters, police department headquarters, I.D. Laboratory, 911 Center and radio tower, staff locker rooms, exercise room and shooting range.
